Terms of Service
Effective date 1 January 2025
These Terms of Service govern your use of the F U Trials website at futrials.com and the F U Trials Chrome extension. By accessing the website or installing or using the extension you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree you must not use the website or the extension.
1. Who we are
F U Trials provides a tool that helps you track free trials and subscription renewals. We operate in the United Kingdom and we also support users in the United States. References to we or us mean the F U Trials business. References to you mean the person who uses the website or the extension.
2. Our services
The website provides information and account management. The extension tracks free trials, schedules local reminders, and may append partner parameters to certain URLs. The extension runs in your browser and processes URLs on your device. Our service does not cancel subscriptions for you. You are responsible for any cancellation with a merchant.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least sixteen years old and able to enter a binding contract. You must use the service only for personal or small business use that is lawful in your location.
4. Your account and verification
You may need an email address and a one time code to activate the extension. You agree to provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. We may limit or refuse service to prevent abuse.
5. Trial tracking and reminders
The extension can add trials automatically or manually. It will schedule reminder notifications and may send reminder emails at seven days, three days, and one day before a trial ends. We try to make reminders reliable. We do not promise that every reminder will be delivered at the exact time. The final duty to cancel a trial rests with you.
6. Affiliate parameters and commercial relationships
We partner with some merchants and affiliate networks. When you visit a mapped partner domain the extension may append a partner parameter to the URL. It will do this at most once in six hours for that domain during normal browsing. It will also apply the parameter on checkout pages and on sign up or free trial pages. This helps set an affiliate cookie that can earn us a commission. The parameter appears at the end of the URL and does not change the price you pay to the merchant. You can prevent the parameter by turning off the extension, limiting site access in Chrome, or uninstalling it.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service in a way that violates laws or merchant terms
- Do not try to reverse engineer, scrape, or attack our systems
- Do not misuse affiliate programs or attempt to misattribute traffic
- Do not use the service to deceive users or merchants
8. Third party services
Merchants and affiliate networks are independent of us. Their terms and privacy policies apply to you when you use their services. We do not control their systems. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
9. Software license
We grant you a limited, revocable, non exclusive, non transferable license to install and use the extension for your personal or small business use in a manner that follows these Terms and the Chrome Web Store policies. We keep all rights in our software and our brand.
10. Feedback
You may send feedback or suggestions. We can use feedback without restriction and without obligation to you.
11. Beta features
We may release experimental or preview features. These features may change or stop at any time. They may have bugs. Use them at your own risk.
12. Changes to the service
We may change or stop parts of the website or the extension. We may add new limits or remove features. If a change is material we will try to give notice in the extension or on the website.
13. Term and termination
You can stop using the service at any time. You can uninstall the extension from Chrome. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms or if we believe your use creates risk for users, merchants, or us. If we terminate your access your license ends and you must stop using the extension.
Important The extension helps you remember trial end dates. It does not cancel subscriptions on your behalf. We do not reimburse charges from a merchant. Always review renewal dates and merchant terms.
14. Disclaimers
The service is provided as is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted or error free operation. We do not promise that every trial will be detected or that every reminder will arrive on time. To the extent allowed by law we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law we are not liable for lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, or indirect or incidental or special or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of twenty five pounds sterling or the amount you paid to us for the service in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and costs that arise from your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of laws or third party rights, including merchant terms.
17. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data on the website and in the extension. By using the service you agree to the Privacy Policy.
18. Communications
You agree that we may send you service emails such as verification codes and trial reminders. You can stop reminder emails by uninstalling the extension or by asking us to deactivate your account.
19. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in London have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes. If you live in the United States you may also bring an individual claim in your local small claims court if the rules of that court allow it.
20. United States state notices
We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross contextual advertising. If this changes we will provide the required notices and opt out controls.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material we will try to give notice in the extension or by email if we have your email address. Your continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new Terms.
22. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to legal@futrials.com. If you want to exercise a legal right or send a notice, contact us by email first. We will provide a postal address on request for verified legal notices.
